Why do Earth revolve on its axis?
The Earth revolves on its axis because of the conservation of angular momentum. Angular momentum is a measure of an object's rotation and its mass. The Earth acquired its angular momentum when it was formed from a rotating cloud of gas and dust. Once the Earth started to rotate, it continued to do so because of the conservation of angular momentum, which states that an object will continue to rotate at a constant speed unless acted upon by an external force. There are several forces that can affect the Earth's rotation, such as the gravitational pull of the moon, but they are not strong enough to stop the Earth from rotating on its axis.
